You have to try this new way to dress up your brownies! It's amazing! My roommate Diana makes them.


Helen Thompson's Brownies

1 cup flour

1/2 t. baking soda

1/2 t. salt

1 cup brown sugar

2 cups oatmeal

12 T butter

Mix together with large fork. Place in greased oblong cake tin (9 x 13 ) and bake for about 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove, cool about 15 minutes and place regular brownie mix on top. Bake in oven again for length of cooking time for brownie mix. You may frost or sprinkle with white powdered sugar and cut into squares.
